Tucson, AZ – July 12, 2011 (PRNews) Eat-a-Burger announces its opening of its new downtown Tucson, restaurant on Friday15th, 2011. The company recently transitioned from a 14 foot trailer to a 1100 square foot restaurant located in the historic Pioneer Building at 100 N. Stone Ave. The transition has allowed them to expand their menu to include hand-spun shakes and more toppings for their burgers. Prices have remained inline with their concept of providing a quality product at a reasonable price.

Eat-a-Burger’s signature “fabulous fries” is still on the menu. “We had a lot of comments and feedback over the past couple of weeks concerning our fries,” explains Jass K. “We listened to the comments and wrestled some more storage space out of the building and found a way to keep them.” Eat-a-Burger’s fries sold-out 95% of the time everyday. “We just couldn’t make enough of them.”

Eat-a-Burger hours are Monday – Thursday: 8:30am to 3:00pm / Friday: 8:30am to 10:00pm / Saturday: 11:00am to 10:00pm / Sunday: Closed

Eat-a-Burger selects local artist Tom McNeil to fabricate the company’s exterior façade at the Pioneer Building in Tucson, Arizona.

Local artist is commissioned to create a visually compelling exterior façade for the company.

June 7, 2011 (Tucson, AZ) Eat-a-Burger has selected and commissioned local metal fabricator Tom McNeil (T M Design), to do a custom fabrication for the company’s exterior front façade. McNeil will utilize a series of 6 sheets of brushed aluminum to create a compelling visual draw to the space. One of the sheets incorporates an artistic rendering of Eat-a-Burger’s logo plasma cut into the metal and serves as the center of attention.

The project reinforces Eat-a-Burger’s “soft industrial” space and design.

Jass K. Chef/Owner of Eat-a-Burger elaborates, “We’re thrilled to have Tom onboard and working on this project. He has done a series of projects that have impressed me, and he comes recommended by designers. As a local business, we’re always interested in sourcing locally and T M Design is just a few blocks away from us. Local businesses supporting local artists is a win – win situation.”

It’s time to shatter the norm.

It’s time to become a part of a company – not just work for it.

The newest downtown fast casual restaurant is looking for a select handful of people to join us. This is not a huge franchise, this is not a restaurant with deep ass pockets, this is a restaurant where the decisions and actions you make each day will have a huge impact on our success.

We know that you’re ready for this. We know that you’ve been looking for a company where you can feel like you are an essential piece of the machine that we call success. You bounced around from job to job and you’re ready to commit to something come thick-and-thin because you are a fiercely loyal person but just haven’t found a company that has equally been loyal to you.

That’s about to change.

You’ll be working either in the front-of-house, or back-of-house. You may even find yourself occasionally working both but you’re adaptable and you know that restaurants are dynamic.

You’re passionate about providing the best service possible.

You treat each and every customer with respect.

Lazy is not in your vocabulary.

You motivate yourself because your fire is always burning hot.

You’re familiar in the kitchen, it doesn’t intimate you but you’re not an expert.

Being timely is your second nature.

We’ll be accepting resumes and applications soon. Check back here in early June, for positions tentatively starting in July, 2011.

Eat-a-Burger, a New Burger Joint Opening late Summer 2011, in the Pioneer Building Downtown Tucson.

Local family owned food truck begins its transition to a restaurant.

March 21, 2011 (Tucson, AZ) Announcing Eat-a-Burger, downtown Tucson’s latest restaurant addition. The restaurant is slated to open July / August 2011. It will be located within the historic Pioneer building lobby at 100 N. Stone Ave. Suite #102, directly next to Ike’s Coffee and Tea in Tucson, Arizona.

The investment into creating a 40+ seat burger joint is a big step for Eat-a-Burger co-owners “Jass”and “Sin”. For the last year, they have been operating a food truck set-up directly across the street of their new location. There they have braved the scorching summer heat and unprecedented freezing weather. Serving outdoors definitely has its pro and cons. But the duo is going against the grain with the current trend of restaurant owners closing shop and embarking into the mobile food industry. “We’ve been very fortunate with the support and response that we have had from Tucson and particularly downtown.” Jass continues, “Downtown is very sensitive and supportive of small locally owned businesses, and we are appreciative that they have made it possible for us to grow and progress into a restaurant and the opportunity to contribute to its revitalization.”

Upon opening this new restaurant, the couple’s endeavor will be the latest in the recent stream of restaurant revitalizations happing downtown. Eat-a-Burger will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday, and 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Eat-a-Burger is committed to providing quality food at an affordable price. Burgers are the stars of the menu which are hand-shaped, seasoned to perfection, and never frozen. The restaurant will also offer hand-dipped and spun shakes as well as a wide variety of side food like fries and onion rings. There will also be a small breakfast menu, and classic lunch favorites like grilled-cheese sandwiches.

Call ahead seating for dinner service will be available; most major credit/debit cards are accepted.

We are looking for a spot for our iconic trailer to sell some dinner. That’s right, we are in the pursuit of providing a dinner service for Tucson. Yes, we’ll be keeping our lunch service downtown, but we’d like the opportunity to let the rest of Tucson try some of the best burgers this city has to offer.

If you have a spot that you think would be perfect for us then please let us know!!

Just a couple of quick things to know:

1. We have to be situated at least 100′ from a residential zoned area.
2. We must be at least 20′ set-back from the street.

We are thinking our evening hours would be from 5pm to 9pm.

Please contact us for more information.

The most exciting festival in Southern Arizona is back again, and this year we’ve called in favors from our friends across the globe to help us with the cause!

This year’s HoCo Fest will feature two nights of great music from musicians that hail from countries as far as England, Spain and Mexico City.

These acts join us knowing that this has been a challenging year in Arizona which has brought so much unwelcome notoriety upon itself. The acts understand that playing a show here – this year – has more meaning than ever as we look to motivate, educate and mobilize the public to make sure every civil rights-loving Arizonan will be voting this November.

In that spirit, the artists and the festival have agreed to lower the ticket price, and ensure access to voter registration and to civil rights organizations’ information and material.

Moreover, all profits from ticket sales will benefit the Border Action Network; each evening is $10 and if you buy a 2-day, $20, pass- you’ll get an awesome commemorative poster as well.

This event is still, first and foremost, a great music festival, one that, by it’s mission, uses solar power and other green practices to showcase it’s performances and production.

Looking for a complete line-up with bios and more info? Check out what we have for Friday, September 24th and Saturday, September 25th.

Sunday, September 26th will feature The Family Arts and Interactive Festival, an all-ages, all-inclusive interactive event that will span throughout Toole Avenue and Downtown’s Historic East End. Make sure to visit the Eat-a-Burger stand to taste Tucson’s best burgers and fries.
